Laguna Beach Activities
As with most of the southern California beach communities, the ocean dictates the sports here. Diving, fishing, surfing and sunbathing all are here and in abundance. You are in the middle of the California Riviera, and the area rivals Hawaii in its ambiance, feel and setting. Of anyplace in the state, this is the destination you should enjoy at least once in life.
Cycling along the PCH
Here are a couple of very scenic cycling trips that you can take from the Laguna Beach area.
Start on Ocean Avenue
This is a great ride, its all uphill and then a easy coast down to the bottom again. Just do not try this on a holiday weekend, as the crowds and the cars can plie up along this route.
North on the Coast Highway
Start in the downtown area
This is a beautiful ride. There is plenty of scenery and places to stop along this undeveleloped stretch of the coast highway.
South on the Coast Highway
This too is a fun, albiet short ride. The terminus of this ride is Aliso Creek and the state park there, but you could keep the adventure going and ride on....

Heisler Park
Just follow the trail to the park from Main Beach. This is a great walk to watch the sunset and catch your breath.
South to Sleepy Hollow
This walk takes place on the white sands leading south to Sleepy Hollow beach. It's also a great sunset walk and good for some piece of mind.
Crystal Cove
North of the city off of the coast highway. This is a quiet and secluded beach. Great for walks but not for camping, the campground is 3 miles up the ridge to the east.
